Sitting across from Condado, Miramar is an affluent neighborhood in the city of San Juan. It is relatively quiet, close to everything, and distinguished by its many Spanish-style homes.

Miramar is one of forty subbarriosĀ of Santurce, San Juan, Puerto Rico. It is a trendy and affluent neighborhood across the lagoon from Condado, centered on two marinas and a gentrified harbor district.Ā It is centrally located, only about 10-15 minutes away from the San Juan International Airport and around 5 minutes from the beaches of Condado and Ocean Park.
It also appeals to foodies with its many eateries and lounge bars and is the perfect place to stroll around the striking architectural landmarks and large historic homes. At the heart of Miramar is an architectural wonder, Casa Grande, which is now home toĀ Piloto 151‘s fifth coworking space.

What To Do
šĀ MADMi (Museo de Arte y DiseƱo de Miramar): a museum of art and design located at The Pink House, at Calle Cuevillas 607. Its mission is āto inspire through art and design, with a strong belief that invention, innovation, and creativity are the driving force behind social well-being.ā
šĀ Club NĆ”utico de San Juan: a marina that offers adult and kids sailing lessons and banquet services. It is also where theĀ InternationalĀ Billfish Tournament takes place.
šĀ Condado LagoonĀ (Laguna de Condado): a lagoon that flows between the Condado and Miramar neighborhoods of Santurce, a barrio of San Juan. You can go kayaking, paddle boarding, and snorkeling in the lagoon. Do not be surprised if you spot a couple of manatees while visiting.

š²Ā Casita Miramar: a homey restaurant in a colonial ācasonaā known for its traditional ācomida criollaā with fun twists to Puerto Rican classics. The menu changes often and features local fruits, vegetables, and seasonal fish.
š²Ā Lucia Patisserie: a bakery loved by locals that serves sweet and savory gourmet pastries.
š²Ā Miramar Food Truck Park: a food-truck park in the heart of Miramar, where seating is at communal picnic tables. Though the roster of vehicles changes, regulars include Lena eh, Yummy Dumplings, and Pa’l Pita. One truck sells beer and mixed drinks.
š²Ā Hazel Bar: a breakfast and brunch restaurant that offers a variety of dishes, coffee, pastries, and desserts.
š²Ā La Hacienda: an upscale neighborhood grocery store. They offer fresh ingredients and have a deli counter serving sandwiches, marinated meats, salads, and daily lunches. This location also has a Hacienda San Pedro if you need a coffee break.
š²Ā La Unidad: a speakeasy and cocktail bar serving elevated bar Food since 2015. This hidden speakeasy is a lovely spot for a cocktail, and the backroom has a cigar lounge. There’s no sign, so look for the three red rings on the door.
š²Ā Comedor: a casual eating spot from local restaurateur Hugo Perez. It offers plates made with local, seasonal ingredients and warm hospitality. It is influenced by local cuisine with fresh and unexpected flavors.
š²Ā Gustos CafĆ©: It serves its signature Gustos coffee, grown in Yauco. This cafe also offers delicious sandwiches and pastries to pair with your coffee.
š²Ā Rosa & Elena: a great breakfast/brunch spot with delicious coffee and Instagrammable dishes.
š²Ā ArielĀ Restaurant: a fine diningĀ restaurant where you can enjoy carefully crafted international food. Located in the Courtyard by Marriott in Miramar.
š²Ā Los Pinos: a 24/7 eatery that serves authentic Puerto Rican cuisine. Perfect for when that craving hits after a late night out.
